Withdrawal

Preliminary note: who is “we”?

Your contracting party and the seller is Dodo Payments Inc. as Merchant of Record. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Dodo Payments and Akixa, the operator of astryla.com. You can address your withdrawal to either; whatever reaches Akixa, Akixa forwards to Dodo Payments without delay. The reimbursement is made by Dodo Payments.

Dodo Payments’ buyer terms

Dodo Payments’ buyer terms (dodopayments.com/buyer-terms) govern the purchase and payment with Dodo Payments: payment, invoice, taxes and carrying out refunds. They do not govern the relationship with Akixa (provision of the content, library, account).

Among others, these clauses concern your rights (version “Last updated: 26 Feb, 2026”, retrieved on 23 October 2026): for customers outside the USA they provide for US law (“shall be governed by the laws of the US”), except where the law of your country of residence provides otherwise. They leave refunds to Dodo Payments’ discretion (“at the sole discretion of Dodo Payments … and may be refused”). For digital content, your right of withdrawal is to lapse as soon as the download begins (“you will lose your right of withdrawal … once the download … has begun”). They also largely exclude warranty and liability.

Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected, in particular your right of withdrawal under this policy – it expires early only under the conditions in the section “Special note: early expiry” – and your warranty rights: a choice of law may not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country where you have your habitual residence (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).

Refunds you are owed by law or under this withdrawal policy are arranged by Akixa with Dodo Payments; they are not at Dodo Payments’ discretion.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at https://astryla.com/en/widerrufen. If you use this online function, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay, with information on the content of the withdrawal notice and the date and time of its receipt.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

End of the withdrawal policy

Special note: early expiry

For a contract for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires once performance has begun after you (1) expressly agreed that performance begins before the withdrawal period ends, (2) acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins, and (3) were provided with a confirmation of the contract recording that consent and acknowledgement (§ 356(6) BGB).

You give the consent and acknowledgement before payment by ticking the box on the purchase page; without it, payment cannot start. Performance begins when the edition is unlocked in your library.
